Here at JB Promotions we often find ourselves wondering when we’ll have a full week in the office, as we dash here and there for client meetings and events. We’ve rarely had the time to catch breath as we plough full steam ahead towards Christmas, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. “What do you get up to?” I hear you ask. Well…
Pippa headed to dressage rider Anna Ross Davies’ yard (photo below left) to oversee a photoshoot and lesson, even managing to pick up a few tips of her own! It will be great to see the images when they have been finalised as it was a really lovely day at Anna’s yard. April attended Barbury Point-to-Point in Wiltshire (photo below right), where clients Dodson & Horrell and Equine Health Centre both sponsored competitive races. Although it was a chilly day the crowds were treated to an excellent day’s racing in glorious winter sunshine with a real buzz at Barbury.
Kicking off December in fine style, we are heading for another busy month.
On Monday evening all of the team are attending an evening masterclass with British World Class Eventing Performance Manager and BE Master Coach, Christopher Bartle FBHS. I’m sure if we wrap up warm we will come away from Kingston Maurward feeling very inspired and motivated to combat our winter training methods with our own noble steeds. The following week April/Bridget/Pip (TBC) will be found on a gallop, in the early morning sun, filming one of the country’s Champion National Hunt trainers and his string of horses. I’m sure the footage will be beautiful and if this cold snap continues, it could be spectacular with a morning frost. I’m certain one of us will update you on that at a later date!
With Christmas now only a few weeks away, we edge ever closer to one of our favourite events of the year, Olympia, the epitome of Christmas festivity with top class competition and shopping. We will be there with Dodson & Horrell and will no doubt be on the edge of our seats as we watch the current Four-in-Hand Driving World Champion and Dodson & Horrell brand ambassador, Boyd Exell, navigate through the cones on Thursday afternoon! We are also hosting a table at the British Equestrian Writers Association lunch with a few of our friends and clients. It is an amazing atmosphere and is always a good chance to catch up with a number of people before taking a break over Christmas.
To summarise, November has been hectic but great fun, visiting clients, creating exciting content and engaging in wonderful opportunities. We are very lucky, and we are always looking forward to what’s next in the diary and what other projects we have in the pipeline. Soon the Christmas songs will be ringing out through the radio and we will bid farewell to 2017.
